Easy Summer DIY's

Hello! I love crafting but whenever I find something on Pinterest (https://www.pinterest.com/askalexblog/) the DIY's are always very hard and take a lot of effort. After a lot of research I have 3 EASY summer DIY's! All of these projects are 5 steps or less! There will be links to all materials down below.

1. To Do Board

This DIY is the simplest of all, it is a to do board. This board is perfect for writing lists of things that you need to do.

Step 1: Materials

For this DIY you will be needing:

- A Picture frame

- Scrapbooking Paper

Step 2: Cut

Cut your scrapbook paper to match the size of your frame.

Step 3: Assemble

Place your paper inside the frame and close it.

Now your to do board is all ready to use! Use a whiteboard marker to write and a whiteboard eraser to erase!

2. Felt Pins

This DIY is super cute and trendy. The felt pins are fun to make and wear.

Step 1: Materials

For this DIY you will be needing:

-Felt cutouts (flowers, shapes, hearts, etc.)

-Bar pins with pads

-Glue Gun (make sure you have your parents help for this)

Step 2: Design your patterns

Stack your felt cutouts into different designs.

Step 3: Glue

Use a glue gun (make sure you have a parents help) to glue your felt pieces on top of each other.

Step 4: Pins

Put hot glue on the back of your pin and attach it to the felt.

After letting the glue dry on the pins, your pins are ready to wear!

3. Cactus Notebook

This DIY is a great way to turn a boring notebook into a fun summery one.

Step 1: Materials

For this DIY you will be needing:

-One plain notebook

-Acrylic paint

-Paint brushes

-Black Marker

-Washi tape

Step 2: Sketch

First, you need to sketch your cactus out on the notebook. It is important to sketch before you paint because it is easy to mess up with paint. Find a nice picture online to copy or create your own cactus.

Step 3: Paint

Paint your cactus the colors you want! I used dark green, red, and white.

Step 4: Washi Tape

While you are waiting for your paint to , decorate your notebook with washi tape.

Step 5: Black Marker:

Use a black marker to outline your cactus and draw spikes on it. :)

Your notebook is done! Write down your plans for the summer, journal entries, and more!
